Join David to explore the mysteries of seasoning your cast iron, whether soap should ever touch your precious pan, restoration of filthy iron, and how to avoid affliction of collecting too many frying pans. There is an excellent chance of some campfire cookery making an appearance with a few tasty nibbles for the participants that hang on to the end.

David has been working in the outdoor education field for over 25 years. Currently he is an assistant professor of Outdoor Leadership at Burman University and provides training across western Canada in wilderness survival, canoeing, sea kayaking, bushcraft, navigation, and group management and leadership. In his spare time, he works with his family to operate an organic farm specializing in Haskaps, Heirloom Garlic, and a range of Veggies. David is also part of the volunteer leadership team that coordinates Frostbite! Symposium on Traditional Winter Skills on an annual basis.
