Location:  Dale and Colleen's Adventure Farm
Description:  We will be sewing our own 10 oz. cotton canvas winter anoraks from the Lure of the North kits.  You will need to purchase and bring your own kit to the class so that you can select sizing and trim details.  You must place your order BEFORE THE END OF NOVEMBER to ensure that you will have it in time.  Please go to the Lure of the North website to order.  Kits run between $115 and $225 + shipping and GST, depending on what options you select.  We will sew your anorak together this weekend.  A basic understanding of and some experience using a sewing machine is a requirement. I will provide sewing machines, a serger, work tables, basic thread and needles, as well as my experience in sewing an anorak.

Other Required Gear It is recommended that participants bring along the following:  a good desk lamp for extra light, good sewing scissors, any extra material you may wish to use to modify your anorak (I put in extra fabric on the sleeve and "pit zips" - zippers in the armpits to vent it instead of having to take it off), a pair of indoor shoes, warm clothing, extra warm footwear, chairs, snacks, drinks, masks, and hand sanitizer.  If you have access to firewood, Dale and Colleen would appreciate that you bring some along, if possible, to minimize the work and preparations before the event.
