Sewing Winter Anorak Kits
Accommodations: All participants and Instructors will be required to bring and camp in Hot Tents with Stoves. We will be sewing in the one heated building on site and there is a single bathroom for participants to use.
Meals: All participants will be required to bring and prepare their own meals for the weekend.
Other Required Gear: It is recommended that participants bring along the following: a good desk lamp for extra light, good sewing scissors, any extra material you may wish to use to modify your anorak (I put in extra fabric on the sleeve and "pit zips" - zippers in the armpits to vent it instead of having to take it off), a pair of indoor shoes, warm clothing, extra warm footwear, chairs, snacks, drinks, masks, and hand sanitizer. If you have access to firewood, Dale and Colleen would appreciate that you bring some along, if possible, to minimize the work and preparations before the event.
COVID: All participants need to adhere to AHS standards of safety: not symptomatic or awaiting results of testing, have not been out of the country in the past 14 days, not have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID in the past 14 days. You will be required to fill out a questionnaire upon arrival. Masks required in shelters when social distancing is not possible. All participants will be encouraged to help to keep the warming room and bathroom clean and sanitary. (Please bring your own masks.)
